American activism based upon calls coming from Palestinian civil society has contributed to the great growth in the pro-Palestine movement. Come learn about specific actions and get great tools to take your campaigns to the next level. We will focus on how to take activism to campuses, churches, mosques and elsewhere by building coalitions and using a variety of formats, including social media.
Israel to the United States: A Strategic Ally or Liability

For years we’ve heard the mantra that Israel is the United States’ only friend in the Middle East. But is Israel really an ally or is it a liability? That is the pressing question today, especially within the context of the Arab Spring and the move toward democracy in the Middle East. Experts will discuss the relationship between the US and Israel and the cost to Americans, diplomatically, financially and in terms of our national security and moral standing in the global arena.
AMP: The Driving Force Behind Activism for Palestine in the United States

Leaders from AMP, SJPs and Islamic institutions will outline the vision for the future of pro-Palestinian activism in the United States. This session also offers the opportunity to hear from various AMP regional chapters to see what the nation’s leading pro-Palestinian
organization has been up to over the past year.
