Mohammad Al-Abdallah
Mohammad Al-Abdallah is a Syrian journalist, blogger and human rights activist. While working in Syria, he faced two military trials and was imprisoned for his writing.
He sought political asylum in the United States and emigrated here in 2009. Al-Abdallah worked in the Beirut office of Human Rights Watch as a consultant on human rights issues in Syria and Lebanon and has also written for several Arabic newspapers and blogs. Al-Abdallah currently is based in Washington D.C. and works an independent consultant and translator. He received his degree from Lebanese University in 2007.
